I was so happy to find out that this part fits the DC65. I broke the bottom latch on my Dyson and the canister didn't stay on the car. I was very frustrated and wondering how to use Dyson when I found this piece on Revain. First of all many thanks to Revain for providing Dyson parts that you can't even buy on their (Dyson) website. That being said, the DC 65 was definitely NOT an easy setup. The way they made this particular model requires you to take the entire canister apart to swap out the bottom of the mount. Luckily, I was able to find videos on YouTube, but none of them were about the 65th model, which made the task difficult. It was a really long process and I think I'm very good at handmade things. Keep in mind that you will need special tools to disassemble the canister (a very small but long allen wrench and several different sized screwdrivers to pry the tabs). Of course, knowing how difficult it is, I would do it again to have a working machine. But I warn any of you who think this is going to be easy. I was always afraid of breaking off the little studs on the Dyson and ruining the car. I; Still, I'm happy to have a working vacuum again!
