Okay, but we can reduce the flow of the fan motor

Overloading the engine, causing it to overheat and creating an unpleasant odor. The filter, while good, reduced flow and created a restriction that caused the fan motor to overheat and give off an odour. After I installed the factory filter, the smell went away.
