Something from Microsoft is missing, so it won't run Xbox games listed as "backwards compatible". Other reviews stated this but I missed it at checkout. So, my problem. I bought this specifically to prepare the Xbox Slim Arcade version for Halo LAN Party. Oops, I just spent $17 plus tax for a lesson on how to do research before you buy. If you never play original Xbox games and only want to play Xbox 360/Xbox Live downloadable games, then this is a cheap solution that might be worth your while. Others claim that it has a short lifespan, only dying after a few months. Mine seems to work on arrival, minus the backwards compatibility support. Also, I can confirm that it works like a great paperweight.
