My XYL has a ham radio license but I didn't need a big 5/8 wave antenna or a complicated radio so I bought a very small 2M/440 25W radio and hooked up this antenna to it. Installation was easy, I managed to run a cable from the trunk to the dash with a PL-259 connector on the end.
