Wrangler JL for accessories and consumables

Worked great mounted on the hood of the Wrangler JL. The set screws must be tightened very firmly so that they do not slam when the hood is closed. I only checked SWR on FM (1:1.5).

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Little things

Not the best CB antenna on accessories and consumables

Reading some Q&A and reviews, everyone should understand that this antenna is designed for specific frequencies, not tuned to CB frequencies. It is designed for FRS and GMRS radio frequencies. Watch your radio frequencies

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Good SWR. Scheme depends on installation

Used on 2m and 70cm; well measured SWR in both areas when mounted on the leading edge of the barrel; The picture is not very good, you have to try other positions. The antenna is too short to have high gain, but very flexible, no problem to get into the garage, car wash, etc.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Not the best

Good HT antenna, not so good car

The bracket didn't have angle adjustment for my car. The antenna itself is similar to the Nagoya portable radio antenna. I recently bought a GMRS laptop with an underperforming rubber ducky. I added an SMA adapter and trimmed it a bit to have great SWR at GMRS frequencies instead of a complete loss.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doesn't fit all

Make no mistake, the best in antennas

Good antenna for the price. With 8 watts on the trunk I can hit repeaters out 60 miles on VHF and about 45 miles on UHF. I don't have the right hardware to read the SWR so can't tell what it was but no complaints, on the other hand the incoming audio sounds great. That being said, the only complaint I might have, and the only reason it's not 5 stars, is that the set screws rust at the first sign of moisture. It was noticeable on the first day, but not yet critical.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • No performance

Not working

Bought and Cobra 29 LX. It looks good and is well made, but the problem is that it doesn't work, at least not with the Cobra 29 LX. It says it works as a CB antenna and that it works with Cobra models. The radio displays an antenna error warning and does not work. I bought another antenna that works fine. If possible I would give this place 0 stars.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Can't remember

Make no mistake tbh

Good antenna for the price. With 8 watts on the trunk I can hit repeaters at 60 miles on VHF and about 45 miles on UHF. I don't have the right SWR reading hardware so can't tell what it was, but then again no complaints, incoming audio sounds great. That being said, the only complaint I might have, and the only reason it's not 5 stars, is that the set screws rust at the first sign of moisture. It was visible on the first day, but not yet critical.

Pros
  • Antennas
Cons
  • No autotune

Good price

My XYL has a ham radio license but I didn't need a big 5/8 wave antenna or a complicated radio so I bought a very small 2M/440 25W radio and hooked up this antenna to it. Installation was easy, I managed to run a cable from the trunk to the dash with a PL-259 connector on the end. But 25W on a small antenna is the worst of all worlds, low power radio and small antenna what was I thinking?! Regardless, it comfortably hit our "home" repeater from 40 miles away, so pretty damn happy! I'm sure it…

Pros
  • Radio antennas
Cons
  • old
