I am a thorough reviewer so I will try to summarize as best as I can. Overall I love my end product, I bought two sets of black walnut wood for either side of my front door. My husband was tired and couldn't imagine it would work, but he ended up becoming a bigger fan than me. That doesn't mean there weren't any problems. Problem 1 - adhesive tape; I was skeptical that the process could be that quick given the use of tape to separate the vertical and horizontal sections. I was just imagining duct tape peeling off freshly painted areas of primer. When I made the first page I was so happy it wasn't a problem. However, this cannot be said of the other side. I did it the same day - one side at a time. On the second side I had a few issues with the tape attracting the base coat. I even waited all day to paint the horizontal sections and in a small area the vertical wood paint was peeling. So I guess it's kind of a shitty shoot. - It's worth noting that before painting or moving on I felt and looked to see if the paint was dry - no rush on my part. Issue 2 - Glove; I didn't think there was much to complain about with the glove, but it was the worst part of the project. So when I was editing the first side, I noticed that the glove left a lot of lint on the door. When I made the second side I wrapped tape around the glove and removed the tape to get rid of the lint, this lessened the problem but it was still there. The worst thing about the glove was its size and plastic coating. that protects the inside (where your hand goes) and the outside (where the paint goes). There is plastic in between to keep your hands clean and this plastic makes the glove almost awkward and makes it harder to control your movements as the outside goes one way and the plastic the other. It sounds strange until you experience it for yourself. The size is also so large that it's just hard to control every aspect of the glove. I know we want free flowing natural movement, but the gauntlet doesn't have to be that big - most 32-36 inch doors have small vertical and horizontal sections and that just makes them awkward. The door looks very woody and has the effect I wanted. I will also say that these kits and another kit I bought from this brand are so complete and beautiful. They have loose clothing, full rolls of duct tape, which is quite a lot. I would like a tray for this set but you can't have everything. I'd say give it a try, but be aware you may have a few issues. UPDATED: Since about September I've been noticing a strange smell of melted plastic/paint in my house with the A/C off. The smell only reached me in the middle of the day when sunlight fell on the facade of my house. I smelled the door and sure enough, now it gives off this strange smell. I think sunlight and heat are causing the smell, but my air conditioner was cooling the door but also messing with the air to hide the smell.
