The headlights look great and work. for now.

In general, the lights create a nice atmosphere in my garden, but the installation process was a little disappointing. When I first installed it I was disappointed that more than half of the bulbs in two separate rows didn't light up. I was confused about this - did I buy two faulty lines and go to the trouble of installing them? I read the instructions and they wrote that the wires are routed to each bulb individually, so it was very odd and frustrating that it turned out I had two chains with separate faulty leads. I was ready to remove the garlands (not an easy task, as you can imagine) when my partner checked the tightness of each bulb. In fact, after he twisted the bulbs tighter, the unlit bulbs lit up and there was a click! Okay, now of course I felt like an idiot because although I tightened the bulbs as tight as I felt I could without damaging them, it was his double checking of my setup that made sure it worked. The next evening we checked the lights again. (You are on a timer). Not all of the bulbs came back on, but more than the first install! We figured the lights that didn't come on the second night were the ones that came on the first night and that my partner didn't get tighter. But no, some of the unlit from the second night were the same unlit from the first night that got attracted. We re-tightened those bulbs (made another click) and the bulbs came back on. I think the lessons learned from my review are: 1) Check your lightbulbs before installing cords. 2) Check it a second or third time in separate cases. to make sure all cables are ok.
