Honest Review - Water Pumps

I bought 2 packs of the 90 GPH version. For the price - you really can't complain. These things are weak - I have another brand of 80gph and it is noticeably stronger. It's easy to spot because it shoots through 1/2 PVC and 4 hydroponic spray nozzles. It's cheaply made. There is a plug on one end that does not sit flush. if you press the protruding end, the opposite end jumps up – it reminds me of a chair with a short leg. the pressure regulator dial is also marked backwards. Increase decreases and decrease increases. On top of that - it just spins around and around - there's no real stop, but you can spot where there's a tiny bit of resistance, and as you go past that it gets weaker so you can figure it out. Also the cord is short compared to the other pump I have. this is 3' 8" and the other is 5' 10". lastly two different adapters to attach to a hose or whatever, they hang really loose in the pump - there is very very little friction, if you turn it upside down it won't fall out - but anything else and it will come out . Bought 2 packs and never used one. This might be fine for circulation in a small DWC hydroponic system or maybe a quarantine tank.

Pros
  • Optional 2 outlets: For 5/16" or 1/2" ID hoses
