The surface should be smoother than the baby's bottom!
I thought they would work on a smooth cork board but it ended up deforming badly. If the surface you apply it to has any bumps or protrusions, the mirror film will transform. I don't blame the company for that, thinking I could throw it on a semi-smooth surface. If you put it on a piece of wood or cork board, you better make sure it is SUPER smooth and super clean before you attach it. Otherwise, they're pretty decent mirror films!
