Review on Enhanced Secure USB 2.0 Smart Card Reader Writer: Sunshine-tipway by Phillip Samuel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a writer as might be expected based on the seller description prior to my purchase - the sellers have since edited the item.

Sunshine-tipway® USB 2.0 Smart Card Reader /record". somewhat misleading and I noticed that the seller AFTER my purchase changed the title to say it's a more accurate reader It's not a writer (at least not as previously advertised) It's based on the Realtek RTS5169 chip which is basically a reader with the ability to read high- Perform level write operations on cards that have a base system like a phone SIM card. For example, you can edit phone book entries on the SIM card, but not format the card or overwrite the base system. As far as I can from the documentation from Realtek, the As you can see from the included SDK and app, it's basically a reader with limited write capabilities s tested on a raw card to fully test whether you can create a custom access card or not, but the Realtek documentation doesn't state that it can be used in this way. If I'm wrong in my assessment, I ask the seller (or any other user) to correct me and point me to some useful software that I can use to create my own access cards with this device. I'll order some unencrypted smartcards and do more testing and re-post them as soon as I get them, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. To the reader this is a reliable gem but I wish the description was clearer because I need an author and that doesn't sound like what I need. I wanted to create secure cards (similar to CACs) for our company to restrict access to certain resources and now I'm looking for the right author again. I feel cheated after reading that the item description was edited and the author removed. I wanted an author and got a reader. It works for the reader, but it's NOT WHAT I WANTED AND DID NOT EXPECT!
