Good for an $8 compass
This compass is far from perfect, but at least it's an $8 compass. It is extremely sensitive to the placement and horizontal position of the compass piece. It may take some experimentation to figure out where to place it. I finally found a spot in the center of the dashboard where it wouldn't be affected by other devices that emit magnetic fields, and now that I've found that spot it works fine. I couldn't find a good spot on the windshield that wasn't in the center of my field of view. I can live with that for β¬8.
