Review on 🧤 OXO Good Grips Silicone Oven Mitt and Pot Holder Set by Jackie Shallenberger

I saw these oven mitts recommended as oven mitts in the American test kitchen, so I grabbed a pair. I thought wow, I've never paid that much for oven mitts before, but that might also explain why I have to change them all the time and mine tended to look burned, or worse, didn't protect me from the heat. I burned my hand taking the pan out of the oven too many times with fabrics even if thick and layered. These things work! I will say the silicone is a little hard so it takes a little getting used to, especially for me, I've only had cloth gloves before. But they aren't as sturdy as some of those silicone gloves that make me feel like I'm about to drop something. They also wash very well. We took these on a camping trip to set our cast iron pans over an open fire and they were black when we got home from the soot but washed very well. A little shrinkage but that's probably because I dried them. So far these are the best oven mitts I've had in 15 years.
