Works well - it doesn't help with the home button access issue on my iPhone 8, but I don't see how to solve this issue without the iPhone with the controller in another device to connect way. (e.g. using the connector on the bottom of the controller and a separate phone holder). It does what's expected of it - helping shade the phone screen in sunlight and making it more visible by cutting or eliminating glare from direct sunlight (or even indirect sunlight on a clear day). I think it would be ideal if I had an iPhone. X or newer Samsung or any other phone with a better home button (or no home button at all). Well made product! The hood's surface feels like leather (I know it doesn't) and the rubber tips are nice and thick and of good quality. I think that's as good as it gets given the problem that iPhones (most of them) have their home button partially covered by the controller arms that hold the phones in place.
