That's great. Just make sure you clean it properly.

Firstly if you are looking for fleece for bedding and you have searched and searched - you can stop now. You have found what you need! Read about my cleaning routine below. I have 2 caged guinea pigs in the Midwest (yes I know they will be getting an update soon). I think he's great at just picking up urine, he never seems to get wet. I think it takes the smell well. It fits perfectly and is very soft. My piglets don't use the fleece pouch but I've definitely seen reviews that pigs love it. I shake it out every day. You must wash in cold water. Not hot water, cold water. Seriously, otherwise it will shrink.2. I use normal detergent without fragrance. No fabric softener. Works great.3. Shake it out thoroughly before putting it in the washing machine. Papa Guinea recommends vacuuming him first to remove fur, hay, and stubborn droppings. I found it very troublesome to vacuum (probably not so bad if another person is holding it) so I use a lint roller. I check it several times and it works great.4. I wash it on its own (or with another fleece) - I set it to 'pre-soak' so the fleece actually absorbs the detergent - Bulk/Sheet setting so it wrings out really well and is drier. I'm sure you could easily wash it with other things, I just don't.4. It is important. Fleece loses its shape when exposed to heat. So no hot water and very little dryer (and no dryer sheets!). This also means that if you wash something very hot, you won't get any disinfectant properties. I really think it's important to use either undiluted white vinegar or a Lysol based laundry sanitizer. Since you're reusing fleece, you really want to prevent bacterial build-up - if your family has ever experienced the "ringworm plague" you know what I'm talking about. I am very happy that I made this purchase. Yes, it's pricey, but when you think about how much you save on linens, you just can't beat it.
