I purchased this case with the accompanying accessory bag, rather than the same one for $5 cheaper without the accessory bag, because I thought that it would be the suede-like material that was described. The laptop sleeve is not. The accessory bag is not. It’s not at all. It’s clearly just a kind of black nylon with no suede-like appearance at all. That part was very disappointing. I will say, however, that I am keeping the case as it’s a great fit for my MacBook Pro - nice snug fit that will protect the laptop when I carry it in brief bags and backpacks. I have several other more padded cases for my laptop that are slightly larger that I do use, but was looking for something with a snugger, tighter fit and a bit smaller in size than my other protective sleeves. That part I am really very happy with, and yes, it does look like it will resist water. The only reason I gave the quality of material two stars was that it wasn’t the material they said it would be. I really don’t like it when a description doesn’t match the product you ordered. I always feel duped or deceived by that.
