I can't believe how happy I am with this particular shaker. Once you try this you will never want to go back to a standard shaker bottle. It's infinitely better! First, it holds 24 ounces, and most portable shakers hold just over 1 cup. I usually like a good big protein drink. Second, the whole glass is made of durable plastic. So if it falls, it's still okay, but it's still easier to hold. Then, instead of a blade, it has a strong shoulder blade at the bottom and stays there. So you don't have to worry about accidentally getting a blade in your face while drinking. You can easily mix your drink as many times as you like with the push of a button. According to the instructions at least 25 times before charging. I didn't count but I used it all day and did a lot of remixing. If you just drink a regular drink and add ice, the ice will not damage the impeller. If you mix it with ice, it will chill the drink even faster. I have an adrenal fatigue cocktail made with powdered vitamin C, turmeric, and cinnamon, and those ingredients often surface. This wonderful mug allows me to blend as many times as I want and get all the flavor benefits. It is perfect for the cup holder in the car and the cup holder on the couch. It is also very quiet when mixing. I've used small blenders and they may be better for chopping fruit for smoothies, but they rarely fit even 2 cups and the blade has always made me a little nervous when drinking from blender cups. Probably the only downside is that it needs to be hand washed, which I simply mix dish soap and water for, brush and rinse to clean, rather than being dishwasher safe. Perhaps their 2.0 model will consider this update. I'm still a big fan of his now.
