to convert cassettes to MP3 format. It didn't work for me - I only recorded the first second of the tape. (That could easily be my fault.) There are multiple headphone jacks on the back of the unit, which led me to believe this unit was intended for classroom use. It's small, light and would probably do well in these conditions. However, I sent the device back and am looking for an alternative.
