Review on 🌿 Norpro Fresh Herb Keeper: Keep Your Basil, Cilantro, and More Fresh in Your Refrigerator with this 9"x 3.75" Container by Shay Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No more "slime "! good for container sets

This herb keeper works great! I was considering only giving 4 stars because of the size, wish it was a bit wider. It's a little difficult to put in a whole bunch of herbs (like supermarket parsley and cilantro) without crunching on a few, BUT as far as the quality of the herb preservation goes, I had to give it a full 5 STARS! This works way better than other methods I've tried for storing my herbs (plastic bag with damp paper towel, glass of water and plastic bag on top, etc.). So far I've stored Italian parsley and cilantro in it, and they've lasted many weeks without any "slime" (that gross thing that tells you your herbs are now rotting. ewww). The photo shows that there is condensation in the container to hold them, but you can also see that it fits very snugly. The cilantro that's in right now (pictured) is 2 weeks old and looks and tastes absolutely fresh! I have to cut the stems off of every bundle I buy to get them, but that's fine. I liked this one so much I decided to buy another one but chose the other one in the photo as it was cheaper and slightly larger and I figured it was the same concept and should work just as well as this one. So far I'm very satisfied with both products, but the lid seems to close tighter with this one, with the other I have to check whether it is tight. Both products don't take up much space in my fridge and I love that I don't have to worry about someone knocking over my herbs and spilling water.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • sad packaging
