Review on πŸ’‘ STANLEY FATMAX PCI140 Power Inverter with Dual USB Ports: Efficient 12V DC to 120V AC Outlet Solution by Charles Lewellen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fair price for a good inverter.

I really like this inverter. This is a little false advertising. It's actually only 100 watts continuously and 140 peaks for short periods. Regardless, it's perfect for my needs. There is a 120V socket and two USB sockets. I think they are 2.1 amps each. USB outlets charge my phone pretty quickly (I have an S6 Edge). I use 120V to charge the battery of a drill I use for work. I love that it comes with a bracket and two screws. Also when inserted into the mount, it clicks and locks into place. You have to press a button to release it, making it ideal for rough terrain or a really bouncy truck. It has a power button conveniently located on the top. I didn't give 5 stars because I think it should come with socket covers. If so, then full 5 stars. If you are looking for a power source and plan on using low power devices (100 watts or less continuously), this is for you. People are frustrated because they buy inverters and try to use heaters with them. It is not only unsafe but also illogical to think that a heater will continuously consume at least 750W at low power and at least 1500W at high power and that any inverter will work below this rating. Always check the UL listing for all electrical equipment, it contains a lot of useful information. So I would buy it again if I needed a second one and would recommend it to anyone in the market.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Volume
