The remote works well although the buttons require more pressure to operate. What annoyed me was that I found it difficult to remove the battery cover. So the tab holding it up has come loose, and now it's dangling in the remote. I've wrapped it in black tape to keep it in place as the remote works and I'm leaving the TV it comes with to anyone who buys this house. It has never been so difficult to remove the battery cover since I have a similar remote control. for another Samsung, but this is a "smart" TV. The same battery cover that can be easily removed. I don't have to return or buy again. I just don't care.
