This is a great radio for those just starting out in ham radio or for the experienced ham radio operator looking for a good portable handheld radio. With ten watts of power, I was able to receive repeaters at a distance of over 15 miles. They receive FM, VHF and UHF frequencies. I particularly like the NOAA weather function. The box has everything you need. The radio has a nice tactile feel, slightly larger than 5 watt or 8 watt radios but still a handy size to carry around. Two antennas and two 2200 mAh batteries are included in the scope of delivery to extend the transmission time. There is a battery charger, a USB cable for programming the radio memory, headphones, a handheld microphone and even a car cigarette lighter charger. how awesome is that Oh I forgot it has a belt clip and a handy strap. If I feel like I'm lucky to own this radio, that's right because I also have an 8 watt TIDRadio radio that works great too. Having received good customer service from TIDRadio with any questions I had, I decided to add a 10 watt radio to my inventory. I recommend this radio and I know you will love it too.
