Great radio, even better customer service!

The radio is super, easy to use (similar to Baofeng), works as described. Accessories give him great value. After the first day there was a problem with the charging station and the seller sent a replacement without hesitation. The seller responded within minutes even in the early hours of a Sunday morning!

Good radio in radio

This item is good for a cheap little radio! I mostly use it at 2 meters and it gets there. The network controllers even comment on how good it sounds. One of the downsides are the buttons. Why did you put two buttons with up and down arrows on the side and NOT use them to change channels/frequencies?!? Instead, you'll have to use the much smaller buttons on the front to do this.

Got my money back!

Radio seems good, just opened the box and couldn't find a programming cable! So why 3 stars. Yes, I looked under the compartment that the device is in, but there is NO programming cable. not a good start! Okay except for 1 star nothing seems to work on this device, when I get it on TX Simplex it transmits a click. Not everything is here with spare parts, but on this matter. I asked for my money back

The ad was a bit misleading. Windows didn't see the programming cable at first, but I found a link to the cable manufacturer. The drivers were there. I had "chirp" installed so I just used it. I recommend saving the preloaded frequencies to a different file and starting over. I couldn't add anything to the first (preinstalled) file even though the frequencies were within the allowable ranges of the amateur bands. path not sure. The lapel microphone keeps clicking. This is a great radio for those just starting out in ham radio or for the experienced ham radio operator looking for a good portable handheld radio. With ten watts of power, I was able to receive repeaters at a distance of over 15 miles. They receive FM, VHF and UHF frequencies. I particularly like the NOAA weather function. Not the best BF-H7 in CB and talkback radios

Good thing this radio is almost 10 watts. This is an attractive radio, good weight, easy to use. The HUGE cons are: 1) Baofeng BF-H7 is a much better radio, with channel selection at the top. And 2) the blue lettering on the keys is almost invisible indoors, much like the UV-5R. Who was responsible? I had to use a flashlight to see them. And finally, scanning is difficult.
