Review on πŸͺ’ Superior Quality TOOZOR Wooden Handle Safety Razor - Double Edge Razor for a Flawless Shave (BLACK) by Brittany Collins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good razor - just not for me

For as long as I can remember I have used 50 cent disposable dual blade razors. I've tried many electric shavers over the years, but none of them have given me a satisfactory close shave. But I don't remember ever trying a replaceable blade razor like the TOOZOR Wooden Handle Safety Razor, so I ordered it not knowing what to expect when it came to my line at Vine. First the pros: This is a very good razor. Constructed from durable aluminum alloy with precision-carved detachable heads and a unique real wood handle, it exudes an aura of quality right out of the box. Its dark mirrored finish is sleek and eye-catching (not that looks are important for an item like this). The handle is thick, durable and feels solid in hand; The wood offers a firm and secure grip even when wet. The set includes a tiny double-ended cleaning brush and a box of 10 double-edged Dorco blades, each individually wrapped in two layers of paper for maximum security. Now for the cons: First, the razor is very heavy, making it difficult to skillfully maneuver around the contours of the face or elsewhere. It's literally over 10 times heavier than my favorite plastic disposable - 2.3 ounces for it versus 0.2 ounces for the disposable. Second, the head is too big to hit certain areas, such as under the nose. Third, he doesn't shave very carefully; I've had to return to a few places with a disposable to shave as closely as I prefer. Finally, it doesn't have a glide strip like my disposable blades, which I think has a lot to do with the close shave I get with it. and this set is great for receiving or gifting. I won't give him credit for the fact that it just doesn't work for me; This is clearly a quality item worthy of my five star rating. But as much as I would like to reduce my environmental impact below its already minimal levels by not using the plastic products I end up throwing away, I just can't get over the downsides of this razor. I'll stick with my disposables until something better comes along.
