Review on 🚲 XLC Alum Mountain Bike Pedals with 9/16" Spindle by Roman Niko

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for the price!

For the price these pedals really can't be beat! I bought these because my stock pedals (Wellgo Nylon) cracked and made an awkward noise every time I pedaled. Wellgo pedals didn't last long. My bike was only bought in July and both were broken at the end of August. They appear to be very well built, they are very light and each pedal is labeled so you know which side of the crank to place it on. on the. Before installation I coated the threads with a thin layer of lithium grease. I didn't adjust the bearings as you will read in other reviews. I have no problems turning them. The only downside for me is that they don't have the grip of other high end pedals and are a bit smaller. It only affects me when I drop something. My grip is fine when I'm just riding a normal solo track. I'll be using them for the rest of the MTB season but I'll replace them with either a clipless pedal or maybe a pair of Atlas or Saints. I'm quite an aggressive rider and I want something wider and something with more grip!
