I bought these for a modification project I was doing for my Nintendo Virtual Boy to provide AC power to the game controller. The virtual boy is usually powered by a battery connected to the game controller. I didn't want to spend $80 on ebay to get an official Nintendo adapter so I made a mod to solder one of those DC pigtails to the battery terminals in the controller so I can use the appropriate voltage DV adapter to power it. The pigtail runs through the body of the controller and then exits from the back through a hole I cut in the plastic. Works great. Decent quality forks with a durable sheath. The connector itself holds a suitably sized cylindrical connector well and firmly, and the copper wire clung to the solder like a champ. This pigtail plug was perfect for my needs, and now I can play my Virtual Boy without draining half a dozen batteries every few hours.
