Review on Klean Kanteen Insulated Stainless 2 0 20Oz by Dee Parson

This product is exactly as advertised. It keeps hot drinks hot, cold drinks cold, it doesn't leak. There is only one reason it got 4 stars instead of 5.1. "Strength" is more complicated than necessary. If you don't assemble the cap properly (up to how many clicks the nut engages (5-7 recommended)) it will leak ridiculously. I have found that everything is fine as long as I double check that nut on the inside of the cap every time I fill it. But this seems like an overly complicated lid to keep from leaking. There are 5 parts. (6 if using an O-ring). It should also be noted that hot drinks stay HOT for a long time. This can be a huge benefit (I filled it with coffee before my surf session and had hot coffee afterwards), but if you're not careful it can be annoying. I usually pour myself a coffee when I leave the house, and it can still be hot at midday. I like to drink it a little quicker, so I leave the lid on for a minute or two while I get ready for the day so it's at a good drinking temperature. I dropped it for the first time this morning (actually my foot got caught in the strap of my bike and my coffee fell out of the drink holder on my backpack trying to get off.) It was full and fell about 5 feet which is pretty hard that only damage is a small dent in the bottom corner of the cup which makes it move a bit but could be a lot worse. That drip also caused something in the cap to loosen, causing it to leak when it hit the bottom, but re-tightening the nut fixed that. I don't know what the issue is. But other than that, I love this product! It's easy to clean, keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold, doesn't leak, is durable and looks really good!
