I've finally put away my old Conair curling iron. I found this curling iron with all the great reviews. Thanks to everyone who wrote. It really helps to read reviews before buying. Honestly I've been using Hot Tools 1 inch for a month now. I have longer straight hair (shoulder length) and would like a 1 1/2" barrel. I've learned to adjust to an inch. I have nothing but good things to say about that. I use it at a low level since my hair is colored and have highlights. Holds curls great. Next day I still have a lot of cracks and body except for flexion. I still use thermal hair protectant (Tresemme). The temperature control is still intact and in an awkward spot for me. I have it left on and the auto shut off is a great attribute would definitely buy this brand again!
