The buttons are touch sensitive and work flawlessly. 3) Function: I tested it under two indoor conditions. The first shot was in the middle of a large open kitchen, where there is a slight echo during the conversation. The speakerphone picked up my voice perfectly from about 8-8 feet away, but there was a slight "hole" when the receiver could tell I was speaking at a distance. It was possible to have a conversation from that distance, but it wasn't perfect, so I'm deducting a star. This speakerphone isn't very suitable if you plan to be 9 feet or more away from it. But once I got about 8 feet or closer, the test receiver said I sounded perfectly fine. I swapped places with the receiver and my opinion was the same. When this test was repeated in a 10 x 10 foot enclosed space, the overall results were slightly better. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality of the microphone on this $100 speakerphone from Anker. In both cases the speaker performance was very satisfactory. I can hear the conversation partner absolutely well with sufficient volume. It can also be used for casual listening to music, but its shape and functions are adapted for phone calls. I recently reviewed the Yamaha YVC and Beyerdynamics Phonum speakers and returned both simply because their price, form factor and performance just didn't matter much. Meaning. I decided to leave Anchor.
