Review on Vornado 460 Small Whole Room Air Circulator Fan: Powerful 3-Speeds, Compact Design in Black by Lisa Vogt

We live in Las Vegas. Our house is fairly 'new' and appears to be fairly well built and insulated, but our master bedroom is above the garage. We also have two unit air conditioners and the upstairs thermostat is in a dark hallway that we almost never go down. The temperature in the hallway, where we read, is usually about 5 degrees cooler than in our bedroom. I saw this "fan" at a hardware store and looked at the presentation and was quite impressed but also skeptical. As I began my research, I found that almost every retailer that sells this fan has many perfect 5-star reviews. I ordered it from Revain and received it within 2 days. It's not very big and occupies about the same area as our regular tower fans. The challenge was finding the perfect spot in our room for this thing to work as it should. As soon as I discovered this place, this thing exceeded all my expectations. Our host has vaulted ceilings and is quite tall, so I placed him on the floor about 6 feet from the foot of our bed and removed him about halfway up the wall behind the bed. After a few minutes, we can feel the air moving throughout the room. Despite the size of our room, I still keep a regular $20 fan in one corner to help with circulation. The other two fans that were in my room have now been moved to other locations in the house. You are no longer needed as this Vornado exceeds what 3 fans together could ever do. This is definitely not an AC device and is not intended to replace one. But when used in combination with an air conditioner, it really cools our room down. I can turn on the air conditioner to 78 degrees day and night to keep my pets comfortable and now I feel comfortable in our bedroom. It also reduced our daily energy intake by about $1-2 a day.
