So these heat reflectors look great. BUT we have to talk about the installation. In short, installation is NOT easy. You must be mechanically gifted to install them. Otherwise you will be VERY disappointed and will fail. Your talent level should be somewhere between MacGyver and Rube Goldberg. They will be shipped without instructions. They also come with a VERY idiosyncratic collection of hardware. I didn't use most of them and had no idea what they were ever used for. In fact, they only require 4 bolts/nuts and washers to mount them. Remember that you must drill through the frame cross member to install the left (switch side) deflector. A drill at a right angle will quickly cope with this task. Removing the seat simplifies installation of the right side (brake pedal side) considerably. It provides access to the back of the crossbar where the bolts go so you can slip a wrench over your head and tighten. Additional observation; I've noticed a note on not just this version, but every incarnation of them saying this doesn't work with bikes that use an adjustable rider seatback. I have no idea what the heck they are as they have absolutely NOTHING to do with the back and don't even cover it. I tried them after taking a good look at my bike and suspecting everything would be fine and of course they had nothing to do with the backrest. Overall I am happy with my purchase. However, be prepared for a lengthy installation.
