I bought this chair for my wife because I was tired of seeing her slouching at her desk. I told her to choose an ergonomic chair and that was her idea so I ordered it. I should have read about it beforehand and after looking at the reviews I was quite nervous about the chair (my wife is 5ft 3in). But since that's what she really wanted, I decided to let it go and hope for the best. .The chair arrived on time. We put it together, and thanks to my wife's genius intellect, the process was pretty painless. The instructions are SO BAD but she was able to decipher the schematics and get everything sorted out in a reasonable amount of time. Time. Two people are very helpful in assembling this thing. Now we come to the real caveat: As mentioned in other reviews: the chair is designed for a tall person. After the first try, my wife immediately complained about the gap between the bottom cushion and the seat. I groaned internally and prepared to return. In a pinch, we took an old pillow and placed it on the bottom pillow. To my surprise (and utter delight) my wife liked the feel of it. After using it for a few days she seems to like it even more. The backrest, in their opinion, is a mandatory option for chairs of this type. So here it is: the lack of ability to adjust the lower back is really the only thing stopping this thing from getting a perfect score (I understand that scores be deducted for a pathetic excuse for instructions). Just be prepared to add a pillow or padding if you are small.
