The interface works and the memory fits, but the case gets very hot, the heatsink on the NVME doesn't touch the case, so there it is gives no direct heat transfer to the metal case, which would help. In order for the case to function as a heatsink, a different type of closure is required. I ended up buying a heatsink: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09C6HCVLT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details which obviously doesn't allow the cap to go back on the case and I had to cut out some of the plastic from that end so that would fit. Then I used a tie down the middle so it couldn't come loose. I then hung it vertically to allow air to flow through the copper fins, now the entire assembly is just "warm".
