Review on Remington HC5855: Ultimate Haircut Kit & Beard Trimmer, Unbreakable Hair Clippers for Men (15-Piece Set) by Tina Wolford

I was looking forward to this product. I have used clippers for many years but this was my first experience with a Remington product. All my previous clippers were from Wahl. These aren't bad clippers, but I'll have to replace them in a few years. My Remington shears arrived today. The first thing that struck me is that the kit comes with absolutely NO INSTRUCTIONS. There is some general information on the box but not very useful. It doesn't stop the show as I've been using clippers for a long time now. Then I took a closer look at the scissors. The blades were PERFECTLY angled. I tried turning them on, thinking they were going to take a stand. They didn't. The motor sounded awful and there was a STRONG vibration inside the clipper. I am sure that I received a defective item. But where is the QUALITY CONTROL? Complete absence in this case. I was hoping these scissors would be good. They are highly rated here and as far as I can tell I'm one of the few who have given them a low rating. I arranged the return within an hour of opening the box. Extremely disappointed. For this reason, I will NEVER buy a Remington product. I should have been suspicious as the advertised price was low for what should be a good clipper. It didn't impress me at all.
