Having only used this heater for a few days, I can already say that it meets all my requirements. The outside temperature is currently 30 degrees and the heating easily keeps my observatory at 60 degrees in ECO mode. Every time the ambient temperature drops below the temperature I set, it turns on automatically, saving me the hassle of fumbling around. The controller is powerful enough to penetrate observatory walls, so I can just click and point to adjust the temperature, mode, or power as needed. Since the oil is completely enclosed, there is no risk of direct contact with the ground. When the device's temperature exceeds 120 degrees Fahrenheit, it will automatically turn off to prevent damage to the device and the surrounding area. Along with all the performance and security features, this thing is as quiet as a mouse. The large digital screen on the front allows me to take a quick look and make sure everything is working as intended. Now I watch it through my security camera in the observatory and see everything as clear as daylight. If this thing can heat an outdoor observatory at the end of December then just imagine what it can do for an indoor one! The device is light enough to be easily carried even without the wheels, which can be screwed on in just a minute. All wheel hardware comes in a small plastic bag and requires no tools. The instruction manual does a good job of explaining how to operate the heater and controller, but operating it without a manual is intuitive. Overall it's a workhorse, and at just $90 you can't beat the price for the performance, security features, and power savings. .
