I wore them to work in the office for a few weeks and the art material started tearing on the outside. It's been a few weeks of walking from my back door to my car, then driving to work, then walking from my car to my desk, then walking around the office, then back to my car and home. It is a pity. I should also note that I bought them from Macy's so I'm pretty sure they weren't fake. I paid more for them at Macy's than they sell for Revain here, but even for the lower price, they're not worth it. It's a shame about the poor quality, because otherwise I really liked them. They fit me perfectly, were very comfortable and I received several compliments. I would happily pay more for shoes of the same style but made from more durable materials. it is also very wasteful. All other parts of the shoe are practically new but impossible to wear as they are cracked and peeling in several places on the outside. Stephen Madden shouldn't be selling shoes of such poor quality. This reflects very badly on their brand. I doubt I will ever buy their shoes again. To make matters worse, they're almost identical to Bruno Marc Men's classic Giorgio leather-lined loafers. So, Steve Madden, it's nothing special. It's just a type of shoe made to the lowest standards with a branding stamped on it.
