Exactly like the photo. Soft fabric, stitching looks good. The pattern is beautiful. It is made in vintage style but doesn't look old. I wasn't sure if this was the look I was going for as it's more of a quilt than a comforter but I was so dissatisfied with my last quilt purchase a year ago and a lot of them seem so cheap that I i decided to give it a try. I'm satisfied so far. In the photo I've paired this with a new alternative duvet to give it some volume and warmth, although I'm not sure if that was necessary. Fits perfectly for what I wanted. It's more like an oversized comforter (I bought a queen size mattress for a 15 inch queen mattress). If you have a deep mattress and/or high bed frame and want it to fit across the floor like a blanket, you will need a larger size.
