Review on Ultimate Comfort & Convenience: AnorTrek Super Lightweight Camping Hammock With Tree Straps by Joe Bottomkent

Straps Snapped! UPDATE: Ripped!

We have purchased 6 double hammocks over the last year for our family. For one of my sons, I got this brand because they had it in an army green I knew he would like and was similar in price to the other brand we got. Well, he’s only used it a couple times, and the strap snapped right next to the hook. I can see a strap getting worn through if it was rubbing on something sharp while swinging, but that’s not what happened. It just gave out by the hook after just a few uses. Also, compared to the other brand (Geezo), it lacks a sturdy bag strap to attach it to your gear. He loves the comfort of this hammock and the look, but the straps aren’t as durable as similarly priced hammocks.UPDATE: We got new straps for the hammock, and my son (14) has continued to use it. But recently just a little over a year after we purchased it, it ripped in half! Like I mentioned, we bought all Geezo hammocks for the rest of our family, and they have held up great. But this one from AnorTrek was NOT DURABLE in any way.
