Nothing! So! No pile of melted glue stuck to the countertop where the glue gun was; No smell of hot glue or burnt plastic. This little gun sat patiently, switches still on, glue still hot and ready to go, just waiting for me to pick it up and go. However, it is important that the glue gun does not drip, smell or sling.
