Description is spot on. Wood is a good choice for this product and appears to be a grain that will not crack or break. The bottoms are even, strong and smooth. A very good find at a very good price. About the same as some plastic versions, but much sturdier and more reliable. We had two sets of plastic versions from different manufacturers that broke after about two years. We're not very tall people. I don't think these will break.
