Review on ๐Ÿ”† High Quality Non-Dimmable 2800-3200K Halogen Replacement by Patrick Hamilton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Has annoying flickering

I bought these to replace same size 2 pin 12v halogen bulbs under our kitchen cupboard. Advantages; The size fits perfectly. The light values are not as bright as halogens (maybe 80%), but still quite acceptable. The pens fit perfectly. Cons: * At least for our setup, all 10 bulbs have an annoying flicker of about 60 Hz (60 cycles per second). This is a type of flicker when using a non-dimmable LED in dim mode, but with a much faster flicker. I checked the sockets with a voltmeter, 12.4V. It's not so bad during the day, but at night it drives his wife crazy. says the pears should be sent back. * I doubt these bulbs are really only 1.5 watts. They still get pretty hot compared to any other LED bulbs I've used in the past. Not as hot as halogen, but at least 60% hotter. So I bet they still use quite a bit of electricity. In any case, I hope that the supplier will contact me with suggestions on how to try to stop the flickering. I would like to keep them, but the flickering is annoying. ********** Updated 02/26/20; Haven't heard from the seller yet, but looking at other product reviews (see 1 and 2 star ratings), many people face the "flickering" issue. Many of these reviews were answered by the vendor; BUT). Replace the ballast on the luminaire with one that is compatible with LED bulbs (this is not very practical) B). Put at least 1 standard bulb back into the bulb chain. I put one of the original light bulbs back into the chain. This really got rid of the flickering, I'll decide if I can live with that solution or return these bulbs and find another source for the bulbs that don't flicker. . though the bulbs boast of being "flicker-free" as a selling point (some reviewers cite the product information as outright lies). So short story. Based on a review of other LED bulbs of the same size, none of the others seem to "flicker".
