I really like these sets. This is the second bed I've made with the kit so it went very smoothly this time. My previous project was a twin using old hardware that has fold out legs that pull on a cord attached to latches that lock the bed in place. This new style is much better. The ropes and loops will wear out over time (it's used in a child's room where it's moved up and down daily) while this new leg system looks much better. No locking required, the bed stays in place by itself. I will say that the full size kit's racks feel a little flimsy. While the Gemini is very easy to lift, this one is much heavier. Everything is ready, it fits the pillow top mattress with sheets and duvet, everything is made perfectly, although I have to remove the pillows. With a quality mattress, it's as comfortable as the box spring bed in my bedroom. The DVD is very detailed but a bit slow. If this is your first time, you should grab a bowl of popcorn and watch him. This helps when reading the instructions, which are extremely thorough and perfectly organized. You will not find it difficult to follow the instructions. However, decent woodworking skills are required to assemble this kit. You can cut the pieces at a lumber yard (not the Home Depot type, they don't make as many precise cuts), but you still need to drill precise holes, take measurements, etc., and you'll need various tools like hex wrenches. , hammer, saw, drill, bits and so on. But if you have it on hand, you shouldn't have any problems. I did all my cutting, design, assembly and installation in one weekend, about 16 hours total, not counting painting and finishing.
