In addition to the LED lighting, this emergency light turned out to be an exact replica of the design of a branded utility box I installed 25 years ago. The quality of the plastic is strong and unlikely to break during installation or maintenance, and the light heads are very bright compared to the old 6V incandescent bulbs. The red LED in the test button is bright enough to see even from ceiling height of a living space to enable sensible night-time illumination. Installation was quick and easy, although I had to drill a hole to attach it to the one-box electrical box I had on my wall. This is not typical as a round or hexagonal box is usually used for rough wiring and many of the existing mounting holes will fit. The lack of a heavy sealed lead-acid battery is a plus. The batteries in my devices are NiMH, not Lithium-Ion, contrary to what I've seen on this site. I doubt there is any functional advantage to this particular application, but I think the former might be cheaper to replace should the unlikely need arise.
