I work in an auto repair shop and when it comes to sanding body putty, using a variety of sanding tools can save you a lot of time and speed up repairs. For major repairs, the Hutchins Longboard Orbital Sander works great and really makes the job easier. Well I wanted a smaller grinder that is orbital to work on small to medium sized areas and I stumbled upon this one. It didn't impress me at all. He lacks strength. When I tried to shape my bondo (body filler), it felt like I was grinding endlessly. I had to press down on him with my weight to really cut through the bondo. After using it for a while I finished the job with a hand block. This was a real disappointment. I ended up selling it to one of my colleagues and told him how it worked beforehand, but he still wanted it and I gave it to him for a low price. This grinder is equivalent to a medium sized hand block (6 inch). And if you're interested in a random orbital sander of this size, 3m makes a sander and according to the people I've asked it's a damn fine sander. So I would recommend investing your money. in 3M Sander instead of this cheesy one.
