I ordered this platter even though it was more expensive than the other options because I really needed a flat pie shaped base. I got what is in the photo now a U shaped bumpy base. Because of its shape, a person cannot easily install any other device on this different base. I contacted one of the other Amazon sellers to see if they had a flat and they said they had one. The item I received didn't have a flat base, it still did. Very tired looking for a practical bottom plate. It was possible to order an analogue for fifty dollars less.
