Great for DIY projects - compatible with Hue

I use Philips Hue for all the lighting in my home. When it came time to upgrade my kitchen, I was tired of paying the Philips price. Also, Hue light strips are much more difficult to manage since they aren't wired and it would be a hassle to integrate all the wiring into the cabinets. My cabinets also extend from the left at a 90 degree angle with a pantry in the corner. I needed the ability to make custom wiring and extension cords. Combine this controller and a 2m strip with some 1m extensions and some 6-pin 10ft extensions and you now have a fully customizable solution at a fraction of the Philips price. This particular controller is very handy in that each output is actually a spring loaded clamp. Instead of having a proprietary connector, you strip the wires and plug them into the terminals. This allowed me to connect three separate cables together. As for spacing restrictions, their general recommendation is a single line, but I have 5 meter LEDs over cabinets with about 3 meters of extension cord. This is possible by taking each section straight back into the controller and splitting it into three parts. It fights voltage drop. I also use two controllers between the top and bottom for independent control. I used 1x3 wooden planks for the top sections and found a nice aluminum profile from Muzata for under the cabinets. The whole thing cost about $350 plus a few days off drilling the walls and cabinets. I had an issue with one of the controllers and the seller quickly sent a replacement and helped me fix it. Kudos for the thoughtful support and amazing problem solving efforts. All in all, buy the perfect Hue-compatible DIY product with confidence.
