New Phillips DVD Player

So I finally decided to buy another DVD player. I wanted a region-free DVD player, but after checking a few well-known models, I settled on the safe and inexpensive option. I have had Philips for 3 years and it has high mileage. What bothered me was that the compartment wouldn't open when the button was pressed and I had to use some manual manipulation to open it. After opening he played. But that's the reason for the upgrade; Afraid of the DVD getting stuck like my old Samsung did. Pros: If you have an older Phillips, the old model will work just fine, although the new model comes with a remote control. No programming. The color is one of the few silver (grey) DVD players - everything is black these days. However, my Toshiba is gray so it blends in nicely. programming, but with upconversion; It's plug and play, even if you use S or HDMI cables - no programming required. Picture quality; honestly, it's incredibly good, even with my DIVx and older pre-recorded DVDs. It's instantaneous when you see it on screen and I mean the picture gets sharper. WOW<WOWCost - Enough mentioned front panel buttons to navigate DVD in case you lose RemoteFast fwd feature, skip. I have a new Samsung DVD player connected to my Samsung HDTV. You can't fast forward past Samsung. Automatic return up to two DVDs so far. Cons: TBD, I just received the car.
