Literally 3 days before date of purchase of this DVD player it broke. It makes a whirring/buzzing noise and won't play DVDs. Up to this point it was a decent DVD player although I thought it was very slow compared to every other DVD player I had. I liked that he remembered my place on the DVDs I had recently played. Hopefully the company will honor the one-year warranty. Expected more from a well-known brand.

I have been using this player for a year and am very happy with it for the price I paid. But now we have advanced Blu-Ray players. I use an HDMI cable to connect it to my TV, it improves the picture quality by 10x. Last day I saw a red blue green screen and the picture was distorted, I thought it was a broken HDMI cable but it wasn't. All you have to do is unplug the DVD player from the wall, give it a few minutes to restart, plug it back in and you're good to go. I give 3 stars for the quality

Didn't expect all the negative reviews. I bought this DVD player about a year ago and have had no problems. It has held up fantastically and really makes a difference when watching my old school DVDs on a 46" HDTV. My favorite feature is that when you pause a movie, the player will go to sleep after about 15 minutes and then turn off to save power.
