Review on 🏍️ Nelson-Rigg Black Dual Sport Enduro Saddlebags: Versatile Fit for KTM, Honda, Yamaha & Suzuki Models by John Miranda

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great bags for small bikes!

When shopping for luggage I had several things in mind: 1. Bikes - I need something versatile that can be used on two bikes; 2015 XT250 (pictured) and 2007 Yamaha FZ6. I needed them to be light enough not to compromise the limited performance of a small bike, but big enough to hold enough gear for a weekend hike. Budget - I definitely didn't have money for more expensive stuff.3. Ease of use - I didn't want to completely disassemble my rig to access the pockets or their contents. I also didn't want to mess with racks (see budget category) or a bunch of straps to install them. Overall I have to say that I am satisfied with my purchase. My XT has a Nomadic Tubular Square frame, which helped stabilize these bags to some extent, but I think they would have been just as stable without it. They're really easy to install. Although I have to admit that I put them on backwards the first time I put them on. But I figured it out pretty quickly when trying to tie straps to bags lol. Anyway, we took the bikes for an overnight experiment at a campground in Big Sur. We spent 7 hours on bikes and rode hundreds of miles on narrow winding roads, long stretches of valley roads and bumpy roads and these things stayed in place. I had no issues with the bag getting hot from leaning on the exhaust heat shield. The quality of the material seems very strong and the velcro is very strong as are the zips. I packed a lot into these little guys: 2 changes of clothes, a camping stove, crockery, crockery, a camping towel, a petrol can, a sleeping bag, an air cushion, hygiene items and a few more things. The key here is in your gear more than in your pockets. Most of my stuff can be packed, so I can get away with more than a few people. I can say I didn't even have to expand them or use the pockets below. Although there are some essential things I skipped since it was a mini-adventure. I haven't tried installing them on FZ yet, so I'll update this review as I use them in different scenarios. Overall a great purchase! I had a $60 gift card which made it a lot easier. I will start them off with 5 stars but as time tests them I may change the rating.
