I've been a bearded man for a very long time. I've tried a lot of beard products and even made my own beard balms and oils over the past few years. Mountaineer Brand is one of the best companies out there! For those who don't like long reviews, I'll summarize my opinion. (All natural beard care, large quantities, great price, and they do the job.) My most recent purchase was the WV Timber Scented Beard Kit. The first thing I look at is the price. Not only is the price very affordable, but the amount of beard balm, oil and tonic in the set is amazing. Most companies only offer 1-ounce options, Mountaineer offers 2-ounces with balms and oils and 8-ounce facial cleansers. I love the scent of WV Timber. It's a woody-earthy scent that dissipates fairly quickly. I would have liked the oil to be a little more fragrant or last longer, but that's my personal preference. The balm has a more dominant eucalyptus scent, which I also like. Both do a great job of moisturizing my beard and skin. The balm has a very soft oily consistency that melts in oil and absorbs well. Try a heavy-duty balm for better shaping. I also bought this because I have a very curly beard and it helps stay in shape on certain days when I need it. The durable balm has a citrus scent. The beard wash is great. The smell is very similar to a balm, but slightly earthy. I usually use Kirk's or Grandpa's pine sap, but this was a good alternative. The most important thing for me are the ingredients. You've probably heard this from other bearded men. If you can't pronounce it! Don't use it! I have to admit, I only use natural beard care products and you have that here. I've seen some complaints about the brush in other reviews, bristle loss or too coarse. I had no problems at all. In fact I found the brush to be a lot softer than other beard brushes I have and the bristles don't fall out. Again, you get a high-quality natural beard care product at a great price. I am in no way paid for this review. I just think Mountaineer Brand is a reliable company. For your health !
