After ordering 3 different bracket kits for my Rocky Mount roof basket these GS brackets were the perfect lightweight brackets for my application. Your questions. One of the rear tie rods immediately broke off above the tube and got stuck in a threaded pocket. It took several hours of work to remove it. 50% cleaned of the 4 thread pockets. Most of the Revain's mounts are the same, aluminum, and all threaded pockets are suspect in that regard. While there was an inevitable cleanup, it was easy to fix. I bought a new set of longer bolts with nuts and lock washers. I used a piece of the supplied gasket with an extra inner tube bushing that I cut out and installed the brackets. Thanks to the added hardware and thread lock, these mounts will last a long time and keep my lights in the right position. Great braces, but expect a common wire stripping issue with most braces and be prepared.
